About the role
Based at St Austell, we are looking for a highly experienced and qualified individual to assist in our Carpentry programmes. As a Carpentry IQA, you will be responsible for planning and delivering workplace assessment to our Apprentices and adult NVQ candidates.
This will involve liaising with candidates and employers, offering accurate and reasonable information and guidance during recruitment and sign up process, maintaining regular documented contact with all candidates during their programme and providing assessment in the workplace to the highest standard.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for tracking your learners' progress in all elements including English and Maths (as required), setting timely and realistic targets for completion of tasks and assisting candidates with portfolio building.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate should have a verifiable CV of teaching and assessment, and experience in the carpentry industry. They should also be qualified to Level 2/3 NVQ or equivalent, and hold an assessors/IQA award (or be willing to work towards these qualifications when in post).
Hours of work
This role is on a part-time basis; 30 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08.30am - 5pm.
