Risk Manager Venn Group are currently partnered with a large healthcare organisation in the North Wales area who require a full-time Risk Manager. Key responsibilities Support the design, development and implementation of the strategic Board Assurance Framework and Corporate Risk Register, taking account of organisational objectives, key risks, external scrutiny and regulatory requirements. Manage the enterprise risk management portfolio and work collaboratively with operational delivery teams, business teams and their directors to plan, coordinate and oversee a wide range of complex risk management activities, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a Trust wide risk management system to facilitate the identification, assessment and management of risk, which supports the oversight of risk by specialist teams and provides a reporting mechanism for risks to the Board and its supporting committee structures, and Performance Management Reviews. Work collaboratively with operational delivery teams and corporate directorates to develop effective business partnership working that’s support risk management and assurance activities and ensure that they are used to inform service improvement initiatives and implementation. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of colleagues, both internal and external, including the members of the Board and its Committees, Executive Directors, AMs/MPs, Internal and External Auditors, Health Inspectorate Wales, Llais (citizens voice body), other NHS organisations, professional bodies, senior management, clinicians, teams, volunteers, patients and partners of the Trust. Essential Expirience Significant experience of risk management/assurance within the NHS or large public sector organisation. Experience of risk management and assurance at Board and Executive level. Experience of delivering training programmes (in particular risk and/or assurance). Experience of writing formal reports for Committees. Experience of presenting reports to managers and clinical leaders. Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, and able to work to right deadlines and under pressure whilst managing own workload. Experience of developing procedures and guidance documents. Experience of working at a senior management level.
