Are you a Workshop Technician based in Aberdeen looking to transfer into a new field? Cammach are recruiting a Workshop Technician on behalf of our growing client based in Aberdeen on a permanent contract. Our client is looking for a candidate that has completed an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering with some practical work experience within a workshop based role. As Workshop technician for our client, you will apply your existing Mechanical/Hydraulic experience to repair and service ROV tooling and Manipulators, full training on which will be provided. Salary - Circa £35,000 Hours - Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm Overtime RESPONSIBILITIES Strip, inspect and asses subsea hydraulic and mechanical systems such as ROV tools and rate-controlled manipulator systems Conduct repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance tasks on hydraulic and mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to company standards and specifications Produce through assessment reports, including photographs, fault identification and recommended repair actions Prepare accurate cost quotations for repairs based on assessments Ensure parts and consumables are available and track usage for efficient workshop operations Maintain a high standard of workmanship, following company and industry quality protocols Provide support during equipment testing or mobilisation at client sites, as required Responsible for goo workshop and office housekeeping Excellent awareness of HS within a workshop/ office environment REQUIREMENTS Experience working with Mechanical and hydraulic equipment essential Time Served Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician Knowledge/ experience of ROV tooling and rate controlled manipulator systems desirable Basic knowledge of computing tasks to create engineering reports and costs Full UK driving licence desirable Ability to work in a customer facing role, maintaining professional image at all times Comfortable working as part of a small, tight knit team
