We have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Auditor to join our client’s team in Newbury. The team works on a hybrid working basis.
1. Contract: until December 2024
2. Daily rate: £450 per day through umbrella
3. Hours: 40, Monday to Friday
As a Health & Safety Auditor, you will join a leading team to be a key enabler in delivering our client’s Health & Safety vision of keeping their people safe and well and minimising the impact from their business operations on the environment.Health & Safety Auditor responsibilities
4. Lead the planning, organisation, and supervision for all external audits, incl. external accreditations – engaging with stakeholders across the business to facilitate where necessary.
5. Implement and manage the internal HSE audit programme to ensure delivery.
6. Management of incident management system including ensuring triage of incidents, allocation to an investigating manager & driving incident closure.
7. Assist with incident investigations across the core estate and capital projects.
8. Monitor corrective actions tracker to ensure actions progress & utilise data to produce trend reports and identify focus areas for improvement.
9. Act as point of escalation for queries from outsourced HS&E administration service.
10. Deliver Group HS&E reporting requirements, including quarterly updates on performance KPIs and plans, and accurate incident reporting data.
11. Support the FM team for Core buildings to ensure HS&E is managed effectively, including project work, events, and any other activities across the Core estate.
12. Provide H&S support to the Head of Technical estates to ensure H&S is managed effectively across the Technical estate.
13. Capital Projects support - provide support and guidance for Capital Projects and monitor implementation to ensurepliance.
14. Implement an assurance programme across the Core estate, Tech estate and Capital projects to monitor HS&E management and controls as per the annual audit plan.
15. Develop consistent messaging internally around current HS&E risks via a robustmunications plan, ensuring collaboration with other business areas to deliver maximum engagement with our people.
16. Providepetent HS&E advice, guidance, support, and information as required.
17. Maintain efficient and effective interfaces with all business functions, the UKHSEW team, 3rd parties working on behalf of our client, Customers, External Auditors.
What you’ll need to succeed
18. NEBOSH diploma or equivalent and an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
19. Chartered membership of IOSH or demonstrable evidence of working towards this
20. Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA) legislation and any developments.
21. Maintain your own capability andpetence in HSEW.
22. Sound andprehensivemunication and diplomatic skills are required.
23. Auditor qualification and/or experience.
