The User Research team is vital in leading research efforts that promote the voice of the user in the design and delivery of these digital solutions. Job Summary As a Senior User Experience Researcher in CIB Digital Experience Design, you will scope and craft research strategy, conduct research, and deliver actionable insights on complex research initiatives. You are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Product Designers and Content Designers, committed to designing the future of banking. You will participate in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers, informing prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution. Job Responsibilities Structure and plan complex research initiatives, including generative and formative research Design, conduct, and analyze research studies, and produce associated materials (e.g., research agendas, discussion guides, generative exercises etc.) Capture findings, insights, and recommendations in compelling outputs that drive change; translate complex concepts into meaningful and actionable recommendations, including the design of visual frameworks and diagrams to support data Support cross-functional Design Thinking exercises using research findings as a starting point Work with Product Management and Product Design in contributing to product requirements, including specifying desired outcomes for users Present findings to team members and stakeholders from multi-disciplinary backgrounds and varying organizational levels Incorporate business understanding into framing research and findings and recommendations Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Bachelor’s Degree in relevant research or design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, Anthropology, Cognitive Science), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience Strong User Research experience across both generative and formative methodologies Experience planning and conducting a variety of methodologies and approaches, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each Ability to lead a complex research study from beginning to end independently Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (e.g. UX Researchers, Product Designers) and cross-functionally (e.g. Product Management, Engineering) Comfortable in presenting findings and insights to team members and stakeholders from multi-disciplinary backgrounds Experience with UX Research tools for remote research, diary studies, insight repositories and usability testing Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Strong project planning and management skills Previous experience in a large organization, working on complex multi-faceted products Confident & proactive – with an ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
