Worldwide prestigious specialist transportation company with over three decades in the industry looking after some of the world’s most luxurious and rare vehicles are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate experienced Customs Broker to join their team in rural Suffolk, near Bury St Edmunds.
Due to the location, it is essential that you can drive here.
The Role
As a Customs Broker, you will be the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maintaining strong relationships. You’ll coordinate customs services, address queries, and collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
1. Customs Clearance: Completing the customs entries from start to finish for both import and export. Raising T-Forms for European trucking and discharging T-Forms for import movements.
2. Tailored Solutions: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their specific needs, budgets, and timelines, proposing tailored solutions.
3. Service Coordination: Managing customs schedules for Bonded Warehouse, T-Form and IPR authorisations as well as managing IPR authorisations for clients including quarterly returns.
4. Documentation Management: Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure receipt of required documentation for the completion of customs declarations.
5. Customer Service: Take ownership of client issues, responding promptly and efficiently to resolve any concerns.
Skills needed
1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the customs industry.
2. A knowledge of Destin8 and CNS Port Systems.
3. Use of Sequoia or similar customs software.
4. Be conversant with paperwork requirements for import and/or export of goods by sea, road, and/or air worldwide.
5. Be used to working under pressure.
6. Excellent IT and communication skills.
