Role Reports To:
* Project Director for each project
* Coordinating other companies/consultants
* Ability to be self-directed
* Environmental impact assessment
* Assisting senior staff in driving large projects forward
* Undertaking research and analysis
* Preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings, and concepts
* Preparing planning reports and planning applications
* Liaising with planning officers, employees of consultee organisations, and third parties
* Liaising and cultivating good relationships with clients, colleagues, and fellow professionals
* Developing creative and original solutions
* Taking responsibility for smaller projects from the earliest stages through to completion
* Remaining informed about documents relating to planning policy and practice
* Attending external events and providing presentations
Hours:
9-5:30pm, 37.5 hours

Typically, the role of planning consultant will involve working on a variety of projects, supporting senior staff on project work, providing direct client advice on sites/projects, drafting reports and planning submissions (site assessments, policy notes, applications, development plan representations, and Environmental Statements), and assisting with the management of the team's caseload.
