Job title Quality Manager Contract Level Maternity cover Departments / Location Technical - Tandragee Job Summary / Job Purpose Provide effective leadership and management of the Site quality to achieve site compliance with the Technical policies, procedure standards and specifications. Key Accountabilities (Summary) 1. Product safety & quality 2. Management of QC team & their development Key Responsibilities Identify Quality system weaknesses and change as necessary to strengthen Maintain and improve site work instructions and procedures ensuring BRC and relevant customer compliance Manage the Non-Conformance database and ensure actions are addressed to the correct personnel, are relevant and closed out in a timely manner Maintain and improve the site HACCP system ensuring food safety is not compromised Prepare and report quality KPIs to ensure management and factory staff, including timely updating of the quality information boards Ensure the site quality system, records and factory compliance is audit ready 24/07/365, including produce traceability and mass balance Analyse non-conformance data for trends and set in place action plans to address Co-ordinate various technical improvement projects Co-ordinate continuous improvement trials/projects Ensure inspection and test equipment is accurate and maintained Ensure root cause analysis and preventative measures are put in place for investigated complaints Management of various Technical contractors Order and maintain supply of quality consumables Perform stand in duties for the site Technical Manager Work with NPD to ensure that new product launch within the factory is a seamless process between NPD with the incorporation into the plant QMS ensuring QAS & mini spec documentation is available before launch QA Manager need top deputise for the Technical Manager when external bodies are auditing the site Drive CPMU reduction plans for site Ensure compliance to test schedules including microbiological/chemical testing for site Key Deliverables / Key Results Areas (KRAs) / Key Measures of Success 1. All external audits no critical or major NCs, <10 minor NCs 2. All internal audits to be completed as per the schedule and NCs to be closed out as per the timelines set 3 All customer complaints to be investigated fully within timelines set 4. All quality improvement plans to be instigated within timelines set 5. All CCP validations to be successfully completed as per the risk assessment timelines Qualifications, Experience & IT Skills Essential Degree level minimum in a related discipline, e.g. Food Science, Quality Systems Experience of Quality System Auditing HACCP Intermediate / Advanced Advanced Food Hygiene BRC and major retailer audit experience Pest Control Continuous Improvement Use of quality tools Desirable Third Part & Internal Lead Auditor Leadership of a small team within an FMCG environment Behavioural Attributes / Capabilities / Skills Essential Positive, proactive, can do approach High levels of energy and enthusiasm Ambitious Team player, both within the department and across the Group functions and sites High degree of attention to detail Good communicator, articulate Commercially aware Completer finisher Tenacious
