Due to growth, they are keen to appoint a Senior Accountant/Auditor to join their friendly team. If youre a team player, looking for the opportunity to grow and work with a variety of clients, this could be the opportunity for you.
Duties will include:
* Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements to clients
* Helping to train/advise junior members of staff as required
* Inputting draft accounts onto the internal system
* Preparing accounts on behalf of clients across the portfolio
* Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns for clients
* Planning of audits (ideal but not essential)
* Overseeing a team of 2-3 both on site and in the office
* Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
Skills required:
* Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice or industry.
* Quality organisational skills.
* AAT/ACA/ACCA qualifications.
* Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, reconciling creditors.
* Reconciliation of PAYE and VAT.
* Processing and inputting VAT figures.
