Job Description
The Standard is looking to appoint a Digital Editor to help lead our digital transformation.
This is a new role helping lead our digital-first newsroom. Working alongside the Editor-in-Chief, you will help implement an evolving strategy for our editorial operations with a digital-focused newsroom.
Entrepreneurial and operationally accomplished, you have the skills to both direct day-to-day coverage across News, Sport and our newly formed Life hub, as well as drive deeper change across the business to embed digital ways of working.
You will be expected to be fluent in data and understand how audiences’ behaviours are changing and how The Standard can adapt to the broader ecosystem. You will be responsible for increasing both the scale of The Standard’s reach and the depth of engagement with our digital products.
You will also be excellent at commercial collaboration, with a proven track record of optimising output to create a diversified, sustainable content businesses, generating revenues from both premium and audience-based revenue, as well as through commerce, reader revenue and other disciplines.
