About the role:
As a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive language lessons that spark students' interest in learning a new language. You will teach language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while also promoting cultural understanding.
Responsibilities of the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher:
Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in one or more modern foreign languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German).
Teach language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, tailored to students’ varying abilities.
Foster a love for languages and promote cultural awareness through interactive and immersive lessons.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
Prepare students for language assessments and exams.
Requirements of the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages.
Experience teaching languages at the secondary school level.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students to learn new languages.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
