Dyslexia Assessor Fixed Term Contract for 12 months Teacher’s Pay & Conditions (Main pay scale to UPS) - £35,674 - £49,084 consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 32.5 hours per week We are looking for qualified and experienced specialist assessor to conduct full diagnostic assessments for young people to identify. We welcome applications from assessors in any part of the West Midlands but the work will be face-to-face in Birmingham Schools. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held face-to-face in Birmingham. What you’ll be doing: Delivering specialist diagnostic assessments for pupils who present with dyslexia. Maintaining and developing knowledge and formal qualifications/accreditations (e.g., developments in SASC and JCQ guidelines) ensuring required changes to practice are implemented promptly. Contributing to bespoke projects as required. Must Have: Hold a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) Dyslexia qualification Level 7 SpLD or equivalent Enhanced DBS Check Be committed to using assessment approaches to help neurodiverse individuals overcome the challenges they are experiencing in mainstream education settings. Excellent interpersonal skills, a caring professional manner and ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Safeguarding legislation. Although the position advertised is a full time position, applications for part- time, with a minimum of 2 days a week, will be considered for the right applicant.
