Facilities Officer required for a Popular Secondary school located in South West London
Smart Teachers are pleased to be working with a hugely popular school that is located in the South West area of London. They require a Facilities Officer to work with them from Jan 25 on a full-time basis.
About the role
The role would involve general maintenance and repairs for the school as and when needed (including painting, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, etc.). You would also be using the in-house facilities helpdesk software to log and report technical faults.
Ensuring that all fire and other safety equipment is up to date and harmful materials are safely stored. Performing regular checks on the medical room, managing deliveries and collections, etc.
Requirements
1. Good numeracy/literacy skills and good communication skills.
2. First Aid qualification, or willingness to undergo First Aid training.
3. Relevant maintenance or construction qualification.
4. Competent with Microsoft Office programs.
5. Good organization and time management skills.
6. Awareness and understanding of safeguarding.
7. Ideally previous experience of working in an educational establishment.
8. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
9. Good general maintenance skills.
10. Proactive and motivated, able to work in a team or on their own.
11. Good eye for detail.
12. Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight time frames.
13. Ability to be flexible when necessary.
14. Able to lift objects and perform physical labor.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
