Fortem Solutions are seeking to recruit Management Trainees across our business. As a Management Trainee in Fortem, you will have a clear plan around your development and our established Management Trainee scheme has continually proven that developing our next generation of future leaders is imperative to our growth plans. Fortem is looking for the right people to join our established programme from September 2025.
The Client
We are looking to recruit an Operations Management Trainee to work on our Capital Works contract in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. This program offers a structured, fast-track route into a career in Operational Management to give you the knowledge, qualifications and on-the-job learning to go on and be a leader within Fortem.
Duties & Responsibilities
As an Operational Management Trainee within one of our Capital and Retrofit Works contracts, your career is all about working with Fortem colleagues and supply chain. You will:
1. Plan and manage the operational delivery of repairs in our customers' homes.
2. Ensure the work is completed safely, on time, but to a high quality.
3. Be exposed to all areas of your chosen discipline to develop your understanding of the business.
4. Work alongside other experienced business managers to develop your skills and understanding of the wider business.
5. Be supported to study a relevant higher level apprenticeship qualification whilst gaining relevant work experience.
Applicants for this Trainee programme can be either:
1. Sixth Form/College leavers who have completed A Levels, a BTEC, T levels, or an HNC but don't want to go to University full time.
2. Someone with related work experience.
3. A Graduate with a degree in a Construction, Operations or a Commercial related subject; if you have this, we can offer you a 2-year programme.
4. A Graduate with a non-Construction related degree; if you have this, we can offer you a 3-year programme.
What You Will Need
Essential:
1. Fantastic verbal and written communication skills.
2. Strong work ethic.
3. A learning mindset.
4. Self-motivated and ambitious.
5. Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points).
