Please note the working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
There will be a requirement to cover an evening clinic on a Tuesday and Thursday on a rota basis.
The post holder will be working closely with members of the clinical working group in the delivery of shared objectives by liaising with other clinical teams to provide contraceptive services to the patient cohort.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive booking service for a named clinic or any other area within the Department of Sexual Health as directed by the Assistant Departmental Operations Manager or Departmental Operations Manager, maintaining a high standard of clerical duties and overseeing all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the clinic ensuring that departmental deadlines are achieved.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Sexual Health based in Cardiff Royal Infirmary. The post holder will work as part of a friendly administration team within the Department.
The role is diverse, with each day bringing new challenges. The successful post holder must have a good standard of general education and administration skills experience. The post holder should also have appropriate experience of working in the NHS or similar environment.
The individual must be reliable with a flexible approach to meet the service needs and be used to working in a very busy and demanding environment.
The successful post holder will possess excellent organisational skills and awareness of the high level of confidentiality within their day-to-day responsibilities. They will be able to work calmly under pressure and use their own initiative on daily work tasks, with the ability to meet deadlines.
