Salaried GP - Modality East Surrey Medical Practice
Modality Partnership East Surrey Medical Practice has a vacancy for a Salaried GP for 6 sessions a week. The postholder will be passionate about patient care, working across Modality East Surrey division and contributing to the innovation within the partnership in the way care is delivered. Main duties of the job
The role is a patient-centred role delivered from your nominated practice site. The postholder will need to confidently evidence key skills such as excellent verbal and written communication skills, clinical skills and empowering patients to manage their individual health conditions. The usual duties of a salaried GP will be expected patient care through regular appointments, home visits and the general administration for patient care. The postholder will work in collaboration with their local practice team, engaging the use of the associated roles that are attached to the practice.
The role will be based at our Smallfield site. Our sessions have a mixture of 15 and 10 minute appointments and our admin timings follow the BMA model contract. If you have a special interest in areas such as minor ops, coils/contraception or long-term conditions we would be keen to work with you to accommodate this in your role.

Experience
* We are able to accommodate salaried GPs with all types of experience in primary care. Your personal development plan will be built with you, depending on your level of experience and your aspirations within primary care.
Skills
* IT skills (MS Office, Internet etc) able to competently use all basic IT software.
* IT skills (Use of Clinical Systems) experienced in use of a primary care clinical software system, preferably EMIS and other remote consultation technology.
* IT skills (systems and software) able to independently problem solve to enable effective remote working and minimise disruption to working day.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Time Management.
Personal Qualities
* Pleasant and supportive personality.
* Ability to perform well under pressure.
* Smart appearance.
* Resourceful.
* Flexible & Adaptable approach to work including being available to provide cover as required.
* Current valid driving licence/access to a car.
Qualifications
* GMC registered.
* CCST for primary care in the UK.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* On the UK performers list for primary care.
Knowledge
* Eligible to practice independently as a GP in the UK.
* Full GMC Registration to practice as a GP.
* Entry on the Medical Performers List.
* Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery.
* Interest/qualification in medical education/GP training.
* Good understanding of the transforming landscape of primary care, new roles and the value of multi-professional teams.
* General understanding of the GMS contract.
* A good understanding of QOF.
* An understanding of GP commissioning.
* A good understanding of Patient Choice.
