Teaching Assistant
29 hours per week
St. Osmund’s. Middle School is an over-subscribed Middle School for Years 5 – 8, located in the thriving county town of Dorchester. The school is proud to be an early joiner of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust and is Ofsted Good in all areas (2022).
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to support children in the classroom with various needs to start as soon as possible for the period of two terms up to 31st August 2024.
This role may involve general classroom support across all curriculum areas for both Key Stages. At the moment we have a particular need with our year 5 and year 6 pupils. It may also include 1:1 support to several children as well as small group intervention work. Duties will also include supporting break and lunchtime sessions in school.
Candidates should have a high standard of English and Maths.
The role is for two terms starting as soon as possible once all pre-employment checks have been completed. The contracted hours will be 29 hours per week, 8:45-15:15 Monday – Friday, start at 8:30 on a Tuesday.
