Business Development/Sales Manager In short We are very excited to be hiring for a Business Development/Sales Manager to join our Business Development team. Based within an easy commute from our central-Oxford office allowing for hybrid working, you will be responsible for organising and executing the new lead generation processes for the company’s core services. You will liaise with other departments such as Account Management, Marketing, and Product Development. Contract type: Permanent, full-time Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 pa DOE Bonus/Commission Place of work: hybrid (home and Oxford office) We are a small team who have been with the company from the early days. Each member owns their own projects, manages their own leads and uses their initiative to pursue new opportunities. Whilst we work independently, we enjoy sharing ideas and knowledge, and regularly collaborate during routine stand-ups, and are always available for a second opinion and to help each other. Key role responsibilities Accountable for building a strong pipeline for allocated portfolio Own the lead generation planning and execution, mainly through the design and execution of sales campaigns for new prospects (mail shots, calling round, social media activities, webinars, etc.) - with content creation support from the marketing team Build your network of NHS stakeholders for current and future pipe development Ensure you understand the prospect challenges and assess if our solutions will fit; then develop compelling proposals Ensure all process documentation is organised and completed, e.g. pipeline and CRM reporting Contribute to/and own proposal and tender writing opportunities Work with account managers across the business to generate leads at existing clients to generate upsell Work with marketing team to build compelling material that helps lead generation purposes Lead on reporting of pipeline activities to internal business stakeholders Combination of skills we are looking for Minimum of 2 years BD software experience and a proven track record, preferably in a health-tech/NHS facing environment Hard working and well organised individual – the ability to manage reporting templates and pipelines is essential A confident communicator with the ability to flex their style to suit individual contacts and prospects Consultative approach to selling/business development – this is not an ‘off-the shelf’ sales process and requires the candidate to understand challenges clinicians and commissioners in the NHS face Ability to navigate a complex, multiple stakeholder environment Enjoys building relationships with prospect stakeholders Confident in organising and interpreting data and the stories it tells Strong bid-writing and proposal creating skills Happy to work independently, with the support of a diverse team Behaviours that will help you succeed in this role At Consultant Connect, we believe that behaviours are just as important as the activities you carry out. For this role, we envisage 2-3 days per week in the office with a degree of flexibility. Some additional travel to client sites or industry events might be required but these will be rare.
