The role ofAgricultural Engineering Technician has become available within ourland-based engineering department which supports Arboriculture,Animal Care, Countryside, Equestrian, Engineering, Horticulture andAgriculture teaching and technicalprovision.
This is a diverse role where thesuccessful candidate will be an integral member of the team lookingafter and providing the resources used to deliver practicalteaching that will meet the needs of the industry sectors weservice and inspire our students to achieve at the highestlevels.
An enthusiastic attitude, creativeproblem solver and logical approach to challenges are essentialqualities which when combined with high expectations for safety,cleanliness and presentation will support the team in achieving thestandards we expect.
A solid practicalknowledge of mechanical engineering focusing on agricultural,estate management, plant equipment and machinery backed up byappropriate and relevant mechanical engineering-basedqualifications. An extensive knowledge of agricultural and plantmachinery operation, hydraulic and electrical systems, precisionfarming, welding and fabrication are all vital skills for the role.Experience of working in an agricultural setting is valued but anenthusiasm for imparting knowledge, experience and skills alongsidea positive, pro-active attitude areessential.
