We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby.
Hours
40 hour week working on a 3 week rolling rota working 7-7.30pm or 7.30-7pm. 1 in 3 weekends.
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
You will use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality
improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.

Qualifications required
Registered nurse – Adult
Current professional qualification (NMC)
Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
