Employment Type: Temporary, various hours, this includes Long day shifts and sleeping night shifts

Role Overview: As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide vital care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans, helping service users manage their mental health and achieve their personal goals. Your role will be pivotal in promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions, both in residential settings and within the community.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You:
Previous experience in a Mental Health Support Worker role for at least 6 months.
Previous experience with Epilepsy care and management is essential and experience with the administration of Buccal Midazolam is desirable.
Previous experience with supporting Mild learning disabilities, autism and PDA is essential.
Any restraint training/violence prevention training qualifications are desirable but not required.
Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
