The Role
Be an integral part of day-to-day testing operations in the battery test laboratory.
1. Execute (set up, monitor, analyze data from, and report the results of) both internal and external battery test programmes.
2. Assess test requests and provide technical advice and guidance to customers, then work with them to prepare test plans and deliver test data to their requirements.
3. Ensure that battery testing is executed efficiently while maintaining high quality data outputs.
4. Help to define and implement battery testing processes and procedures, develop internal test specifications, and ensure health and safety compliance during battery testing.
5. You will have the opportunity to play a role in company development and strategy.
The Candidate
1. At least two years’ experience in battery or cell testing.
2. Hands-on experience operating one or more types of cycler.
3. An understanding of safe cell handling.
4. Confidence to safely use hand tools in a restricted environment (a thermal chamber), and handling cells/fixtures which may weigh up to 10kg.
5. Strong analytical and judgement skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and advise on solutions in the context of cell testing.
6. Good communication skills.
7. The ability to work in a small team and take responsibility for your day-to-day tasks.
8. Working with the team to hit customer deadlines.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 for candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
