About the Role:
I am seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to become part of a team of 6 vets, 8 nurses, a Student Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Care Assistant, 7 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. As an integral member of a 26-strong team, you'll work alongside professionals who are passionate about providing outstanding healthcare to pets in Coventry.
The practice, is conveniently accessible from Birmingham and Leicester. They benefit from a steady stream of interesting cases and a diverse client base. The clinic itself is spacious, air-conditioned, and designed to high standards, equipped with state-of-the-art tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house lab facilities to support excellent clinical care.
What We're Looking For:
This role is ideal for a vet with experience in routine surgeries and medical cases who's confident working in a busy practice environment. They are open to supporting special interests, with a particular welcome to those with expertise in dermatology or cardiology, although this is not essential. The case variety and experienced team will allow you to continue developing in areas of interest.

Requirements:
Recognized Veterinary Degree: Accredited degree in veterinary medicine or veterinary science that meets Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) standards.
RCVS Registration: Mandatory registration with the RCVS, with fees and possibly additional exams for non-UK qualifications.
English Language Proficiency: Required for effective communication; non-native speakers may need a high IELTS score (typically 7 or above).
Clinical Experience: Experience in surgical and medical cases is often preferred by employers.
Right to Work in the UK: For non-UK citizens, a skilled worker visa or similar authorization to work legally in the UK.
Professional Liability Insurance: Usually through membership in the Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) or similar, covering legal and professional protection.
Commitment to CPD: Minimum of 35 hours of Continuing Professional Development annually, as required by the RCVS.
Optional Specializations: Postgraduate certifications in areas like surgery, dermatology, or cardiology can enhance job prospects.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy, resilience, and teamwork skills are crucial for success in veterinary practice.
