Job Title: Inside Sales/Business Development Manager Annual Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 Commission Location: Nationwide Job Type: Full-time We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales/Business Development Manager with a strong background in sea and/or air freight. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at fostering robust client relationships and driving business growth. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Develop new business opportunities by identifying prospects, evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analyzing sales options. Establish contact and develop relationships with prospects; recommend solutions that align with their needs. Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; recommend new opportunities and service improvements. Stay current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify product improvements or new products. Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. Manage and interpret customer requirements to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs. Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both client and organizational needs. Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts. Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and after-sales support services. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inside sales or business development, specifically within the sea and/or air freight industry. Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Strong business acumen and industry expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform complex calculations related to logistics and freight without the use of software. High degree of self-motivation and ambition, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
