Technical Services Manager – Canary Wharf – £80K
Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: £80K
Hours – Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients who are looking for an Technical Services Engineering Manager on a Critical Site based in Canary Wharf. Preferably electrically biased, you will manage a team of supervisors and engineers to ensure service level agreements and key performance indicators are being met and that compliance and health and safety indicators meet and exceed the client’s expectations. You will also provide technical support and act as the point of contact for the client on-site.
Duties will include:
1. Providing support to the site DCMs on large or complicated projects and planned maintenance works as required.
2. Assessing Appointing HVAP and LVAP’s for sites.
3. Reviewing proposals and designs for new projects.
4. Witnessing commissioning of systems for new installations.
5. Review of selectivity studies and Arc Flash studies.
6. Assessing sites for compliance with HV/LV rules and procedures.
7. Accountable with training program and apprentice candidate assessments.
8. Producing incident reports for site system failures.
9. Producing SOP’s and EOP’s.
10. Continuous improvement with SOP and EOP’s.
11. Attending sites in need of assistance during major incidents.
12. Producing Single Point of Failure Reports on sites as required.
13. Producing Condition Surveys and Asset Surveys.
14. Assisting Customer Project Team with technical help.
15. Specification and recording of the Technician Training certification program and supervision of drill and scenario training aids.
16. Generation of periodic technical reports detailing the activities and issues relevant to the Data Centre.
17. Communicate any lessons learnt from project implementations.
18. Ensure all service partners and specialist sub contactors adhere to strict service guidelines and maintain the Service Level Agreement metrics.
Requirements:
19. Excellent knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Mechanical & Electrical services and plant.
20. Ability to interrogate and operate BMS systems
21. Knowledge of current technical standards in relation to Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, Electrical Services, A/C and Water Systems Treatment.
22. Knowledge of business-critical services i.e. UPS and Comms Rooms etc.
23. Working in a “services supply partnership”
24. Formulating, Assessing and Validating Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
25. A minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical Installation.
26. LV or HVAP
27. 18th Edition IEE Regs
28. Permit to Work
29. IOSH Managing Safely
