Job Title: Quality Engineer (16-month FTC)
What you’ll be doing:
* Ensuring operational compliance to specifications & quality standards e.g. ISO 9001
* Driving and supporting targeted Continuous Improvement activities
* Supporting resolution of quality issues, the internal audit process, and external audits
* Reviewing Shop Floor Records, technical specifications and drawings, inspecting ‘First Off’ items for Quality Department approval and approving Certificates of Conformity
* Monitoring and analysing reject data, presenting information to management
* Energising others to engage in improvement activities, and supporting others in identifying and implementing their own improvements
* Continually improving operating procedures and the QMS (Quality Management System)
Your skills and experiences:
* Qualification in an engineering discipline or time served in an engineering discipline - Engineering, Maths or Science degree or equivalent
* Proven experience within quality management in a manufacturing environment preferably of a similarly highly controlled nature (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical devices, etc.)
* Ability to effectively co-ordinate data collection whenever necessary to inform business decision
* Demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement
* Excellent numeracy and mechanical systems comprehension
