Roles and Responsibilities : How the Expected Outcomes are Achieved Effective understanding of project objectives and deliverables Specification and design of electrical installations ranging from LV to 33kV Modelling of electrical systems including loading, fault levels and protection coordination. Ensure designs and work performed on site is compliant with the relevant standards Preparing technical specifications for electrical equipment Convey designs to the project delivery team in a clear and understandable way through meetings, technical documents and drawings to accurately and succinctly describe the design. Represent RJ Power as a technical professional at meetings with clients and contractors Accurately survey sites, perform site inspections and monitor site works Managing elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings Writing detailed and clear reports, ensuring records and archives are maintained to company standards Effectively communicate and liaise with the inter-disciplinary team to meet the projects objectives Requirements for the Role Minimum HND/HNC or equivalent Minimum 5 years electrical design experience Good level of computer literacy with MS Office and technical packages Working knowledge of relevant technical standards Professional report writing and communication skills Must be self-motivated and capable of managing own workload Basic use of AutoCAD Electrical modelling software such as Amtech, ETAP, Power factory etc IET (or other) Registered or on the path to become registered Utility or connections experience Eligible to work within the UK BENEFITS – Enhanced benefits after successful probation - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays - After 2 years continuous service, 1 extra day’s leaver per year up to a maximum of 5 - Long Service Awards - Training and Development opportunities - Pension Scheme - Optical Eye Care Vouchers - Death in Service - Health Care - Birthday Day Off
