Title: Sales Manager
Salary: GBP42,000 - GBP45,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 2pm (Flexibility Required)

VH Talent is excited to be working in partnership with our globally renowned client to appoint an ambitious and committed Sales Manager. Our client, experts within their sector, offers a full turnkey solution in specialist equipment: from design, development through to manufacture.
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role within the business, collaboratively working with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve business growth, building long-term and robust relationships, while being the first point of contact for all new and current customers/distributors.
This role will provide exciting opportunities to support with building teams, assisting with the rolling out of NPIs, and networking in a niche market!

Please note this is a site-based role, not hybrid, and there will be regular travel to customer sites, including globally.
The Sales Manager Role:
* Report into and work in partnership with the Directors of the business.
* Ensure fully aware of all the company’s product range and services and any developments or new product releases.
* Build robust working relationships with current and new clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and regular communication.
* Global Distributor management, development, and growth on the company products.
* Collaboratively liaise with the Service and Sales Admin Team to respond to internal customer inquiries and support with presenting quotations and proposals.
* The central point for all customers and distributors, be visible, accessible, and there to support with retaining and encouraging business growth.
* Manage, update, and oversee the CRM database to ensure targeting lapsed clients, pursuing prospects, and building a new pipeline.
* Assist the Marketing team by sharing market insights, information on NPIs, and assisting with ensuring the company is engaging with their target audience with relevant and consistent content.
* Monitor, capture, and report daily sales activity to assess own performance and to assist with identifying areas to hone in or reset.
* Achieve sales department objectives to assist with wider business goals by completing and measuring KPIs and ratios vs results. Monitor the Sales Performance Metrics, providing regular reports to Senior Management on progress towards all targets/forecasting.
* Support with managing the sales budget. Undertaking confidential projects for Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners.
* Attend customer sites to secure new business, identify opportunities, and grow relationships. Also participate in global Trade Shows, engaging with prospects and industry professionals to expand network.
* Present to the Senior Leadership team, sharing ideas, sales initiatives, strategies, and outcomes.
* Establish, recruit, and lead the Sales Team. Completing one-to-ones, devising targets, implementing training, and recording onto the internal training matrix and measuring output vs result.
* Support with any additional activities as the business requires.
You’ll Need:
* Proven experience in a sales management role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
* A good leader, with demonstrable success and experience managing and coaching teams. With the ability to lead by example, fostering a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and success.
* Able to gather sales data, compile information, analyze and prepare reports to share with Senior Stakeholders and internal teams.
* Ability to work under pressure and still provide a high standard of service.
* Highly desirable to have experience within Textiles, Plastics, Food & Drink, or Paint & Coatings sectors.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages. Experience of operating Sage CRM Systems would be advantageous, however not essential.
* Travel and driving are an essential part of this role where overnight stays may be required at times and a Driving Licence.
