Lead Maintenance Engineer needed in the Preston, Lancashire area for a hands-on and leadership role in production/factory. Candidates must come from a process or manufacturing background for a state-of-the-art production facility with an impeccable reputation and a friendly culture that emphasizes strong teamwork.

This position offers a 4 on 4 off schedule with 12-hour DAYS ONLY.
Salary for the Lead Maintenance Engineer is up to £57k, plus pension, holidays, and other perks.

Lead Maintenance Engineer Duties:
* Set the shift up
* Lead engineers on shift
* Ensure KPIs are met
* Take lead on decision making and problem solving
* Report to Engineering Director
* Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery across the whole site and process plant
* Work on project-related tasks
* Be multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical (60/40 either way)
* Help to improve machinery and efficiency
* Fault find on machinery and repair
* Experience working with pumps, motors, etc.
* Keep downtime to a minimum
Requirements for Lead Maintenance Engineer:
* A formal engineering electrical or mechanical qualification to at least City & Guilds level 2, NVQ level 3, or equivalent with corresponding practical experience.
* Good working knowledge of automated systems/production machinery.
* Experience in a manufacturing background.
* Proven mechanical and electrical experience.
The Lead Maintenance Engineer role is commutable from Preston, Manchester, Wigan, Southport, Blackburn, Eccleston, Kirkham, Ormskirk, and other parts of Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
