Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered pharmacist with a broad clinical knowledge and an interest in education and training of future pharmacists to join the team.
We are one of the largest training providers of foundation trainee pharmacists, with a training cohort of 18 trainees,30 undergraduate placements and up to 36 FS1 foundation pharmacists.
You will support the Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Services in management, maintenance and continuous quality improvement of high quality patient-focused ward and clinical services to patients of the Trust You will work in liaison with all our different specialist pharmacy teams and operational service leads as you co-ordinate and support clinical service provision across one of the sites, and line manage resident pharmacists on rotation.
We are committed to developing our staff and you will work closely with both the Foundation Pharmacist Education and Clinical Services lead pharmacists to ensure our trainees and foundation pharmacists are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver first class clinical pharmacy services.
Main duties of the job
1. To support the Senior Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Services in management, maintenance and continuous quality improvement of high quality patient-focused ward and clinical services to patients of the Trust.
2. To ensure that all pharmacists are trained to provide a consistent and appropriate service to all wards throughout the Trust.
3. To develop, train, motivate and encourage staff providing clinical services on a designated Trust site.
4. To provide clinical pharmacy services, department and ward based, in line with Trust procedures and national legislation.
