This tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, or have any experience working with children with additional needs and are looking for some flexible work.
This tutor role involves working with children who may have additional needs or are looked after. Being able to provide educational sessions face to face with children at their homes or a local area (e.g., library) is essential. Skills and experience such as planning resources around the child’s needs (this could involve developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science) and keeping the child engaged with tasks are crucial for this role.
The location for this role will vary depending on the needs of the pupil but will be pre-agreed prior to the commencement of the tuition.
What are we looking for in a tutor?
* Experience working with children or young people.
* Able to plan and deliver core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
* Applying skills to get pupils' education back up to speed.
* Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies.
* Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing feedback, which can be done via assessments.
* Desirable – SEN experience
To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of your skills and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
