Introduction:
We are seeking a Senior Project Logistics Specialist to join our Project Logistics team. You will be responsible for managing project deliveries in line with project schedule, budgeting by collaborating with customers/external suppliers, and supporting the Project Logistics Manager in project deliveries. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with experience in international logistics, supply chain management, and project coordination.
This position will be based in York, PA but, we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Occasional travel (up to 5%) may be required for training or other Metso locations for team collaboration.

You will join a team of Project Logistics experts focused on managing and planning projects according to project specific contractual requirements. Our team culture is all about being organized and getting it done together.
What you’ll do:
1. Manages shipping and transportation schedules according to project/sales order delivery schedule.
2. Manages and drives service levels received by Logistics Service Providers at project level.
3. Monitors and reports deviations to logistics budget and project delivery schedule, which will optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Supports Project Logistics Manager in planning, managing, and monitoring of logistics in plant solution projects according to project specific contractual requirements and corporate processes, as required.
5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
6. Analyze logistics data and generate reports to support decision-making.
7. Maintain effective internal and external partner relationships with other employee stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
8. Manage overall logistics quotation activities for aftermarket projects.
9. Design and budget logistics for aftermarket projects as requested by the stakeholders.
10. Prepare and report transportation cost studies with multiple carriers, when needed.
11. Run the logistics service provider selection and make the decision for projects.
12. Perform other tasks as directed.
Who you are:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics with relevant experience in logistics.
2. Ability to export/import from and to the US.
3. Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft office environment.
4. Experience managing logistics for large-scale projects.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
6. Ability to work during demanding times and meet tight deadlines.
7. Proficient in logistics software and tools.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree or certification in logistics or supply chain management.
2. Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.
3. Previous experience in Mining, Heavy Equipment, or Manufacturing industry(ies).
4. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems and project management software.
5. Experience with a Manufacturing and Forwarding company.
