Responsibilities:
1. Provide planning and execution support to Deck, Supply, and other Departments and associated Production Teams.
2. Train staff on work planning, including task creation, man-hour estimation, and scheduling.
3. Conduct training with Ship’s Force in the use of the Ship’s Force Information Management System (SFIMS), including building tasks, inputting work items, and task progression.
4. Assist with SF Production Team formation and develop strategies for accomplishing assigned work.
5. Support the development of work schedules, maintenance plans, and equipment lay-up/start-up plans at the divisional/work center level.
6. Collaborate with the Ship’s Force Work Package Material Manager (SFWPMM) to identify, source, and procure materials supporting the SFWP, including forecasting material requirements and tools.
7. Provide planning and execution support to meet key event milestones.
8. Monitor divisional man-hours versus remaining hours to ensure work completion within the scheduled timeframe.
9. Assist the Deck Department with creating painting plans and execution strategies.
Preferred Experience:
1. Knowledge of Navy references such as Technical Standard 9090.310 series, NAVSEA Standard Items, SUPSHIPINST 4720.2 series, and Carrier Team One concepts.
2. Experience with RCOH-specific programs/processes including SFIMS, RCOH Work Control, and Work Integration Processes.
Requirements:
1. Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2. Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably within a CVN Deck Department in a leadership role.
3. At least five years of experience in planning and executing Ship’s Force Work Packages (SFWP) for CVN availabilities.
4. Knowledge of CVN availability planning, CSMP management, work candidate validation, and scheduling.
5. Physical ability to transit in a shipboard environment, including navigating inclined and vertical ladders, obstructed passageways, and dynamically changing spaces.
