About the Role: of Assistant Site Manager
Fawkes & Reece are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client as an Assistant Site Manager. This is a role for a savvy Assistant Site Manager from a commercial project background.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects. The project will last approximately 7 months delivering s large storage warehouse.
Key Responsibilities for Assistant Site Manager
Site Supervision:
Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations.
Monitor the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and progress.
Assist with the ordering and delivery of materials.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment on site.
Health & Safety:
Assist in implementing and maintaining site safety procedures.
Conduct daily safety checks and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Communication & Coordination:
Assist with communication between the Site Manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation of site reports and documentation.
Support Site Manager:
Provide general support to the Site Manager in all aspects of project delivery.Essential Skills & Experience:
Construction Experience: Previous experience in Assistant Site Manager Role.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Organisation & Time Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to health and safety.Desirable Skills & Experience:
Qualifications: SMSTS First Aid CSCS Card
Software Proficiency: Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
