Process Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our client's team in Merseyside, UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead scheduled maintenance tasks on Heat Treatment furnaces, focusing on extended maintenance such as retort repairs and graphite heating system rebuilds.
* Maintain accurate records of extended maintenance activities using company management systems.
* Drive furnace rebuilds and re-engineering projects.
* Perform periodic checks and verify performance of furnace safety systems.
* Condition monitoring, measuring, and reporting on SAT and TUS test results.
* Operate furnaces according to defined standards with skilled resources.
* Adhere to SOP and WI, driving updates as necessary, including machine FMEA's.
* Set targets for heat treatment asset performance and efficiency.
* Support commissioning and final acceptance of new equipment.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
* Optimise and improve processes.
* Analyse data and monitor performance.
* Model and simulate processes.
* Control systems and analyse statistics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants should have a degree in materials, heat treatment, or process engineering and 5 years of experience working on advanced process and heat treatment equipment. Experience from the automotive and aerospace manufacturing/heat treatment industry is essential.
What We Offer
A competitive salary between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and an attractive benefits package.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm, Friday: 8am - 2:30pm (some flexibility required).
