Blue Arrow are currently recruiting a Shift Engineering Team Leader to work for an established, growing business in the Thornton and Leyland area.

Location Thornton - Post code FY7
Working hours: Average 37.8 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, 5 shift system, 24/7
6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am - 2 days, 2 nights 4 off on 7 cycles followed by an 18 day break.
Roles and responsibilities:
Technical Duties
Oversee tasks and troubleshoot technical issues.
Maintain and operate equipment according to standards.Monitoring and Reporting Support
Facilitate meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
Record, analyse, and report on activities.Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
Lead safety initiatives and promote safety awareness.
Ensure compliance with regulations and conduct inspections.
Investigate and report accidents, implementing corrective actions.Operational Support
Facilitate communication between team members and departments.
Collaborate with various departments for efficient operations.
Communicate shift status for seamless transitions.Leadership Duties
Allocate resources for safe and efficient operations.
Plan, allocate, and follow up on activities.
Lead during emergency situations.People Management
Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members.
Required Skills / Qualifications Required:
ONC/HNC Mechanical or Electrical qualification or equivalent experience with supporting qualifications
Experience in leading a team and coaching team members
Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively
Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement solutionsDesirable Skills
Knowledge of the Waste processing industry
Detailed knowledge of waste processing plant, machinery and associated systems or FMCG Chemical and industrial industries.
Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
Knowledge of working with CMMS software applicationsCompany benefits:
