Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care Team. This role focuses on progressing care plans to ensure positive outcomes for children in care. The position offers a competitive pay rate of up to £36 per hour (umbrella), depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Progress and implement care plans for children in care, ensuring that each child's needs are met and that they receive appropriate support.
2. Conduct regular reviews of care plans and make adjustments as needed to ensure the child's well-being and development.
3. Collaborate with foster carers, residential staff, and multi-agency professionals to ensure stability and security for children in care.
4. Prepare reports and attend court proceedings to provide updates on care plans and advocate for the child's best interests.
5. Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
Essential Requirements:
1. Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
2. Experience in managing care plans for children in care and working within statutory children's services.
3. Strong understanding of child protection legislation, care planning, and fostering/adoption processes.
4. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
5. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for children.
