Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven, part time (15 hours per week), Business Development Manager to join our team at Prometheus Sailing in Port Solent Marina. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our business by identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and enhancing our overall market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development. Knowledge of the sailing sector and/or the corporate event sector is an advantage.
FTE salary is £40,000 per annum and there is a generous, un-capped, commission structure that gives an OTE of £50,000+ for this part time role.

Duties
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients to foster long-term partnerships.
* Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs.
* Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
* Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company’s services and enhance visibility.
* Monitor project progress and ensure client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Requirements
* Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within a relevant industry.
* Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a focus on relationship-building.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
