Retail Team Leader - Ashbourne

As one of our Team Leaders, every day will be different. You will lead by example, manage your team, and focus on making sure the store runs smoothly, ensuring everyone understands their role in making the store amazing. You will delegate tasks appropriately by recognizing the strengths of our team members, ensuring the right person is in the right place at the right time, which will help drive sales and customer service standards.
You will have the ability to get the best out of people, oversee stock replenishment, and all shop floor activity, with a real passion for retail. Keenly focused on health & safety and compliance, what will set you apart is your attitude and mindset. We don't expect you to know everything about Choice. This is why we train you at our training academy and develop our Team Leaders to build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to provide exceptional customer service every time they visit our stores. However, you will need enthusiasm for customer service, good leadership skills, the motivation to learn, and a real passion for helping people and going the extra mile.
Responsibilities:
1. Delivering a fantastic customer service experience to every customer
2. Maximising sales in your store
3. Motivating and supporting the team to ensure consistently high standards are maintained
4. Deputising for the store manager in their absence
5. Supporting & assisting the management team in the day-to-day running of the store
6. Taking pride in ensuring the store is always looking amazing and well merchandised
7. Processing deliveries, replenishing stock quickly, and keeping the store immaculately clean
8. Ensuring compliance with all legislation applicable to our industry
9. Maintaining accurate store stock levels and stock holding through stock management systems
10. Driving sales opportunities within each department as required
11. Ability to carry out seasonal and promotional changes as directed
12. Demonstrating excellent product knowledge in line with training and self-learning
13. Willing to be flexible and take on additional tasks and assist in the execution of new projects
14. Maintaining a professional positive 'can do' attitude at all times
15. Following and implementing all company policies and procedures to help drive the business
16. Following and carrying out store cash management and back office processes
17. Ensuring store security and health & safety procedures are followed and implemented at all times
18. Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the manager.
Key Skills/Experience required:
1. Good organisational and planning skills
2. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively - both verbally and in writing
3. A good level of computer literacy
4. Positive, professional, and friendly demeanor
5. Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time
6. Ability to lead a team and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard
7. Good interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills to effectively work with the team
8. Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
9. Flexible to support our busiest times, which can include weekdays, evenings, weekend work & public holidays
