Mulberry Ward, Chippenham Community Hospital
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and committed individual to join our busy and established team as a Ward Clerk on Mulberry Ward at Chippenham Community Hospital. Mulberry Ward is a stroke unit consisting of 20 beds for the assessment and treatment of people who have had a stroke or have other neurological conditions.
The Ward Clerk is key to the operational day-to-day management of the unit, working as part of the friendly multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative/clerical tasks, facilitating the patient journey from admission to discharge.
You will be a team player who is able to work on their own initiative, ensuring the team is supported and actively helping to ensure the ward runs smoothly and efficiently. You can prioritize your workload. The successful person will be able to work in a challenging and interesting environment and possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You will be computer literate and conscientious, able to deal with confidential service user issues.
Previous experience of working in a customer care or patient care role as well as working in an administrative role or office environment would be beneficial.

* Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level II or equivalent.
* RSA I or equivalent in typing/word processing/ECDL or equivalent.
* Good general level of education, minimum grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* ICDL (or equivalent)
Experience
* Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality.
* Proven ability to use a computer effectively.
* To have worked previously in a medical, health, or social care environment.
* Office experience (can include administrative training)
