We are recruiting for a number of Building Surveyors to join the Capital Projects Team within the Housing and Community Safety Directorate. As a Building Surveyor you will be required to manage projects and planned programmes up to a value of circa £2m. This involves: Acting as Contract Administrator ensuring contracts are delivered in line with specific terms and conditions. Project managing Capital Projects, working with our Clerk of Works to ensure all works are delivered to high quality standards. Developing specifications and tender documents to procure contracts. Managing allocated budgets to ensure contract values are not exceeded. Carrying out condition surveys and providing advice on all matters relating to the condition of our housing stock to other Council Officers and Teams. We are looking for people who are experienced in their field; have a good understanding of building construction and relevant legislation and are comfortable working on their own initiative.
