About the role We are looking for experienced Roofer to join our team in Folkestone. Working with Folkestone Hythe Council on a variety of residential works, working in occupied, void properties, our team produce work to the highest standards and deliver outstanding customer service. You will be working on both pitched and flat roofing. Responsible for working on two to four story properties Responsible for working at heights and adhering to health and safety policies and procedures Carrying out roof repairs and replacements Replacing or installing new roofing systems on buildings and customizing materials for individual roofs Ensuring works are carried out within set time frames Responsible for using materials to include tiles, wood shingles and other necessary materials Ensuring that roofing materials are aligned with edges of roofs Carrying out brick work to include – Gable end entire wall Installing Lintels Role Criteria Previous experience as a roofer and ability to work on flat roofs, Lintels and Gable ends. A relevant trade qualification or extensive “on the job” experience. Ability to work at heights Good Communication skills Previous experience with Personal Digital Assistant. (PDA) Full UK driving licence All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
