About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead Playworker to take charge of our Out of school Club, ensuring a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive space where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a program of activities that caters to the interests and developmental needs of children of different ages.
* Provide direct supervision and mentorship to co-workers, ensuring best practices are upheld.
* Establish and maintain a safe and stimulating environment in accordance with safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
* Monitor and support children’s individual needs, encouraging positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
* Act as a key liaison for parents and guardians, maintaining open and effective communication regarding their child’s progress and well-being.
* Manage daily administrative tasks, including attendance tracking, incident reporting, and risk assessments.
* Ensure the proper use and maintenance of play equipment and materials.
* Work in collaboration with external agencies and school staff to enhance the afterschool experience for children.
* Handle any behavioral issues with a positive and inclusive approach, implementing behavior management strategies where necessary.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about working with children and creating a positive learning environment.
* Experienced in childcare or playwork, with previous leadership or supervisory experience.
* A strong communicator with excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Qualified in a relevant Playworker qualification (Level 3 or higher preferred).
* Knowledgeable in safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety regulations.
* Capable of handling administrative duties, including planning, reporting, and staff coordination.
* First Aid and Safeguarding trained (or willing to undergo training).
* Adaptable, creative, and able to engage children in meaningful and enjoyable activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.94 per hour
Expected hours: 17.5 – 40 per week
