Our Mission: Delivering leading-edge technology to restore hearing and empower connection. About the Role: We are seeking a talented and dynamic Director of Information Systems to join our team. This individual will oversee the management of IT operations, data security, business systems, team building, and system documentation initiatives. The Director of Information Systems will play a crucial role in ensuring our technological infrastructure is secure, efficient, well-documented, and aligned with our business goals. This role will be a people leading position, team building and leadership will be a key part in success. Key Responsibilities: 1. IT Management: Oversee a team charged with daily operations of IT department including network infrastructure, servers, user support, hardware, and software in collaboration with our Austrian parent company Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. Manage IT budget, including forecasting, purchasing, and cost control. Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technology to improve service delivery and effectiveness. 3. Data Security: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data security strategy to protect company data and intellectual property. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection laws. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard against data loss and downtime. 4. Business Systems: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their requirements and plan IT services to meet those needs. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS. Ensure systems integration and data integrity across all business systems. Drive improvements in system efficiency and user experience. 5. System Documentation: Establish and enforce best practices for system documentation across the IT department. Monitor the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for IT infrastructure, software systems, configurations, processes, and workflows. Ensure documentation is always up-to-date, accessible, and user-friendly for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop templates and tools for effective documentation and promote accountability within the team for accurate record-keeping. Leverage documentation to support IT training, troubleshooting, and system continuity planning. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the healthcare field preferred. Proven experience in managing IT systems and infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed structure while collaborating across business units and cultures. Strong knowledge of data security principles and practices. Experience with business systems implementation and management. Demonstrated expertise in technical writing and system documentation. Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Certification in IT Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus. Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
