We are looking for a creative Daytime Cook to take the lead in our Farm Shop Kitchen. With a team of 2 chefs, Dummer Down Farm Shop specialises in delicious cooked breakfasts, healthy lunches and deli offerings served to our customers between 8am – 4pm.
Shifts & Hours: 7.5 hours per week (SATURDAY)

As well as the standard, monthly-changing menus, additional events and special menus for mothers day, Easter, Valentines day etc, mean no two days are the same.
Dummer Down Café & Grocery is set in the outbuildings of Dummer Down Farm on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The site includes a large café with a kitchen and retail space that stocks locally farmed meat, and deli items such as charcuterie and cheese, breads and patisserie. There is great outside seating, and the opportunity to use the space for private functions.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* To produce the food to order.
* To produce retail items for sale in the shop when necessary and to avoid waste.
* To manage the specials board so that it is varied and lessens the likelihood of waste.
* To organise the kitchen and its resources.
* To ensure the kitchen is clean and well organised so that the café can obtain a 5 star food hygiene rating.
* To ensure targets, when set are met.
* To engage with the marketing team to promote the café and its food.
* To make the most of seasonal and local produce whenever possible.
* Maintain and build relationships with key suppliers.
* Manage stock control and stock rotation (FIFO).
* Quality control of products leaving the kitchen.
* To embrace the H&S regulations and the requisite procedures involving Food Safety.
* To adhere to Honesty values and ethos.
* To work with the coffee shop to ensure great customer satisfaction.
* To ensure that the kitchen is reaching its maximum productivity potential.
