We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with established experience in architecting, designing and developing complete technical solutions for complex, ambiguous situations and requirements that has significant business value. Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Software Development Engineer on the Grocery Experience team, you will:
1. Design and implement low-latency, scalable solutions across the tech stack, including frontend (JavaScript, CSS, hybrid frameworks), middle tier (Java, Spring), and backend (non-relational databases and AWS services).
2. Collaborate with teams to build integrated solutions that enhance grocery operations.
3. Work with business teams to develop localized features tailored to specific marketplaces.
4. Continuously improve existing systems, focusing on test coverage, refactoring, and reducing technical debt.
5. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to solve complex operational challenges.
6. Deliver features with agility, contributing to a highly collaborative and innovative team environment.

A day in the life
You advise Software Development Managers, Sr. Software Managers, Product Managers and other Engineers on product architecture and technical solutions. You provide the architectural and technical vision for the Product/Service and lead the team technically towards the vision. You evaluate multiple technical choices and make the right trade-off between short term needs and long term requirements. You mentor team members and review their artifacts. You are hands-on and take up development of complex pieces of the architecture and write code.
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
* 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
* Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
* 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
