Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for operational excellence? We're seeking a Material Handler to join our team and drive efficiency on a night shift. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all goods, materials, parts, and sub-assemblies are correctly moved and reported within the assigned department and to work collaboratively with the department Kitting Coordinator to ensure complete accuracy of all work order movements and stock accuracy.
As a Material Handler, your main responsibilities will be:
1. Collecting picks from stores to deliver to the correct working area within the assigned department.
2. Aligning delivery of picks with the timings provided by the Kitting Coordinator.
3. Ensuring that all tooling is always controlled, both physically and systematically.
4. Reporting any tooling damage to the Kitting Coordinator responsible to allow demand to be raised for replacement or repair.
5. Working with Inventory Control to ensure any stock kept within the department is accurate at all times.
6. Assisting with end of year archiving as per the company guidelines with stock in the department.
7. Correct movement of stock between locations (electronic and physical).
8. Ensuring all finished work orders are passed to stores and RAF’d.
9. Aiding Inventory Control with locations for the put away work to be completed.
10. Consumption of parts into work orders as per instructions from the department kitting coordinator.
11. Working to the guidelines provided by the UIIL specialist to ensure we are always UIIL compliant.
We are looking for a Material Handler with the following skills and experience:
1. Previous experience working in a stock-controlled environment.
2. Good knowledge and use of MS Office.
3. Experience using an ERP solution, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
4. Knowledge of inventory management techniques and stock handling methods.
5. Forklift driving license is advantageous but not essential.
6. Desire to be part of a team and strive for excellence.
