The Role:
As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will report to the Credit Risk Manager and drive significant change through analytical projects.
In your day-to-day role, you will:
* Develop expert understanding of the customer management lifecycle.
* Drive optimization of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives.
* Investigate and develop new data sources for analysis.
* Support business growth and portfolio profitability while balancing risk.
* Ensure lending decisions are accurate through tracking and monitoring.
* Perform innovative analysis and provide logical recommendations.
* Deliver complex analytical projects, considering customer and business implications.
* Automate and streamline processes for effectiveness.
* Provide insight through targeted analysis and regular MI development.
* Lead projects, engaging stakeholders and ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
What will make you stand out?
Essential:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in an analytical/programming role
* Advanced knowledge of coding in SAS and SQL
* Clear, logical, and analytical problem-solving approach
* Strong attention to detail
* Expert knowledge of Excel with proficiency in formulae & VB Macros
* Experience in creating insights from source data
* Good knowledge of data compliance regulations
* Very good risk management skills
* Good knowledge of Finance terminology and regulatory awareness
Desirable:
* Knowledge of programming/analytical tools such as R, Python, Hadoop, Tableau
* Experience in analytics related to customer value management
* Good understanding of credit card mechanics
* Knowledge of Credit Risk related to Credit Cards
* Knowledge of Credit Decisioning systems
* Understanding of customer journeys and decision strategies
The interview process:
1. 30-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
2. 1 Hour Teams interview with the hiring team.
3. Final interview with Head of Credit Risk.
