About the School: On behalf of our client, a small and dedicated school in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, we are seeking an experienced and qualified SEMH Teacher. The school caters to students in Years 7-11 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). With a close-knit community of just 32 students, the school ensures personalised attention and support. Each class consists of 5 children, a teacher, and a teaching assistant. Role Overview: The successful candidate will be teaching a Year 11 class, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The school's curriculum follows a 'primary model,' where the majority of subjects are taught by the key class teacher. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be confident in teaching a wide range of subjects. Key Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students with SEMH needs. Planning and implementing a broad and balanced curriculum. Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborating with teaching assistants and other staff members. Monitoring and assessing student progress. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with SEMH needs. Ability to teach a wide range of subjects.
