A primary school based in Birkenhead is currently looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible to support the teacher within their year 2 class, starting September 2024 on an ongoing basis.
This is a full-time role, working five days a week and is a fantastic opportunity to work within a lovely school.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Assisting the class teacher with any duties when required
* Reporting feedback to the class teacher
* Supporting students when needed within the classroom
* Being encouraging and enthusiastic
* Assisting with any other ad hoc duties when required

Qualifications:
We specialise in recruiting teaching assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following:
* NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
* NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
* CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
* BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)
We’ll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously worked in a primary school or assisted a pupil in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
